At this intimate Evening With Sophia Loren audience members will get to know more about the Hollywood star’s life and work.
Sophia Loren, the original Italian siren, began her film career in 1951 at the tender age of 16 and starred in her first Hollywood film in 1957, The Pride and the Passion, co-starring Frank Sinatra.
In 1960, Sophia turned in the most acclaimed performance of her career in the film, Two Women winning her the 1961 Academy Award for Best Lead Actress. She was the first actress ever to win the award for a non- English-language film and has since won countless awards for her work in music and film.
Throughout her career – which has spanned almost seven decades – Sophia has worked with legends such as Cary Grant, Charlton Heston, Clark Gable, Paul Newman, and Marlon Brando.
Now 84 Sophia continues to act and appear frequently in public as one of the film industry’s greatest living legends.
Generally reluctant to give interviews, this unique experience will give audience members the opportunity to ask Sophia their questions as the evening concludes with a Q&A.
This one-off event will take place at Aldwych Theatre on October 28 at 7.30pm.
