Best Dressed Guest

With Summer just around the corner so too is peak wedding season.

While attending a wedding as a guest is undoubtedly easier than planning your own, some forward thinking is still required, particularly when its comes to your outfit choice.

We’re well aware that trying to upstage the bride is a big no-no but there’s definitely no harm in aiming to top the best dressed guest list

E-tailer Pretty Little Thing is taking the stress (and expense) out of wedding guest dressing with its latest fashion drop. Glam it up or keep it cool in chic with standout suits and killer co-ords in a pastel pallet of flirty frills and florals. Be eye catching in an emerald green extreme sleeve mini, beaut bandeaus and floor sweeping maxis and with prices starting from just £12 for a midi dress, attending more than one set of nuptials this summer shouldn’t break the bank.

Ensure you turn heads for all the right reasons by adhering to some wedding guest dress etiquette. Tradition states that only the person saying ‘I do’ is entitled to wear white at a wedding. While this now divides people we’re inclined to agree, so no matter how good white looks on you, give it a miss for one day.

While location will dictate how much skin you have on show as a rule more is generally more. Before you choose anything too skimpy remember that weddings are generally  family affairs so unless you’re comfortable sitting opposite the bride’s great aunt Mildred at dinner with all your wares on display exercise caution before opting for a plunging neckline or extreme cutaway detail.

While wearing black to a wedding isn’t a total faux pas we tend to fall in favour of brighter hues, particularly for a summer celebration.
