Riding on the wave of its recent achievement at the UK Property Awards with 5* awards for both Best Residential Development and Best Development Marketing (https://www.derryjournal.com/lifestyle/taggart-homes-named-as-winners-of-multiple-uk-property-awards-1-8631177) Taggart Homes has won the overall Best UK Development Marketing at December’s International Property Awards and was also shortlisted among the top five in the world for Best Development Marketing for Coralmount.
Coralmount is an exclusive gated development on the Limavady Road in Derry/Londonderry, comprising six high-end homes. When Taggart Homes inherited the development, one of the key challenges was to economise the use of space, maximising the liveable surface area while retaining a sense of privacy. This was cleverly resolved by the effective use of round contours, subtle gardening edging and architectural features that create visual interest, such as copper decorative elements.
To maximise the use of outdoor areas, one of the homes comes with an enclosed Mediterranean-style courtyards that features an fireplace, creating a warm, cozy open air social focal point.
Everywhere else, from maintenance-free external floor paving, floor-to-ceiling glass panels and clever mirror placements, much thought has been put into blurring the line between indoors and outdoors, thus extending the overall living area.
Internally Coralmount’s bespoke furniture is complete with solid stone worktops, hand painted finishes and high specification appliances, representing an impressive value for money. We are particularly impressed by the layout of the master bedrooms: walk-in wardrobes and separate dressing areas ornate with custom cut mirrors – Carrie Bradshaw eat your heart out.
What does it say about Derry/Londonderry as an up-and-coming city? “There’s such a ‘can do’ spirit about the place and we feel that Coralmount is a real statement about where the city is at now and more importantly where it is headed. This has been reflected by these awards and is putting the city on the map once again, in a positive light,” said Taggart Homes Director, Nicolas Taggart.
To market Coralmount to a global audience, a mix of digital platforms (social media, virtual tours, online partnerships) and classical offline techniques were deployed; the key objective was to establish Derry/Londonderry as the to-go place in the Northwest for high-end property developments. Immediately after the launch extensive media coverage was generated, including a feature on the 6 o’clock news, and Coralmount took Northern Ireland by storm. So much hype was created around the development that tabloid media took it upon themselves to generate speculative stories suggesting that Hollywood actress Courtney Cox and Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid were among the prospective home owners!
So all their efforts were amply rewarded when Taggart Homes won the overall Best UK Development Marketing at December’s International Property Awards. No mean feat, as the awards are open to residential and commercial property professionals from around the globe. With companies from around 25 countries vying for recognition across every category, more than 80 experts are involved in a meticulous judging process. Here at TSE we can testify to the attention to detail and overall TLC devoted to every single aspect of the development process. Well done!
