It’s funny how we all get wrapped up in the style choices of royals around the world. Maybe it’s part of an underlying fairytale complex. Maybe it’s for those days when street style doesn’t cut it and we’re ready to embrace dressing like an adult. Either way, there’s something to be said of members of royal families who find the perfect way to toe the line of royal protocol while acknowledging current trends. Queen Letizia of Spain is someone who does just that.

Renowned for her impeccable style in her polished yet modern approach to fashion, Queen Letizia has a way of mixing high street labels with high-end brands that unsurprisingly has provoked comparisons to the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, another royal often applauded for her sartorial flair.

For formal occasions Queen Letizia favours local designers such as Felipe Varela as well as up-and-coming label, Cortana, best known for their fluid silhouettes and colour blocking patters. When styling off-duty looks, her go-to brands include Uterque, Mango and Zara.

Most recently she brought her signature sartorial flair while in attendance of the World Health Organisation Headquarters among other world leaders. She chose thigh-high black boots teamed with a thick grey skirt suit for the occasion.

Deemed one of the most stylish European royals, check out our gallery showcasing some of the best looks from Queen Letizia of Spain.
